The design was created by Iris Otto. an illustrator and designer who is registered in Lush’s talent pool. Her colorful illustrations are a reflection of childhood camping trips and holidays spent enjoying the outdoors. Her goal is to make people smile with her work.

What is Loktarap?

This sustainable handmade paper is made from fibers obtained from the Lokta plant. which can be harvested every 3 to 7 years. Lokta paper requires a dry environment. so it is made in an area close to the border between Nepal and India. The paper mill was established as part of efforts to create jobs in the area and support the advancement of women.

Each piece is handmade. so no two pieces have the same texture. The strong fibers make it ideal for gift wrapping. The more you use it. the softer it becomes. like cloth. Enjoy the changes in texture.
